Options for the Risk Adverse Investor
"Investors should not make hasty decisions, driven by fear, but rather remain focused on the long-term through the turbulent months that lie ahead"
This is what we told you in January, and it is still true today.
However, some investors may be looking to reduce their exposure to the markets and protect their capital in current times, and Fairbairn Capital offers a full range of investment options for advisers to speak to their clients about.
What are Fairbairn Capital's fund options for these investors?
Bonus Fund Category
These funds are designed to smooth out fluctuations in the market returns of the underlying assets, namely equity, property and fixed interest instruments. If you want to include underlying investments that will offer steady inflation-beating growth as well as an element of capital preservation, bonus funds are ideal.
Defender Fund Category
These funds aim to achieve specified levels of positive longer-term growth, with appropriately defined target levels of short-term downside movements. This means that you can choose a growth / loss combination that suits your needs. Whilst a guarantee is not offered, you have the comfort of knowing that the option is managed with the objective of limiting losses while also offering appropriate longer-term growth potential.
Money Market Fund Category
Money market funds offer the more conservative investor access to a low risk investment. This option offers money market returns and can serve as a safe-haven for your capital during volatile market performance.
Frontier Bond Category
These instruments offer fixed, fully guaranteed returns over three, four and five year periods, with the maturity date set for a specific day, usually the first day of a month. Only available on Investment Frontiers.
